Technology
Light you can print.
Electroluminescence turns a thin printed sheet into a surface of light. No bulbs. No heat. No hot spots.
How it’s built
Printed layer by layer.
Seventy microns thin.
Every STYELIGHTS™ panel is a precision stack of printed layers. Click the panel to take it apart, then put it back together.
Total thickness
0.07 mm, about the width of a human hair.
Any pattern. Any shape.
Printed to shape
If you can draw it,
we can light it.
Because the light is printed, it can take any outline: logos, patterns, text or full panels. Then it bends with the surface it sits on.
EL vs LED
A different kind of light.
| Electroluminescent | LED | |
|---|---|---|
| Thickness | From 0.07 mm | Needs housing, diffusers and depth |
| Heat | Cool to the touch | Gets warm and needs heat management |
| Light | One even glow across the whole surface | Bright points that need diffusing |
| Form | Bends, curves and cuts to shape | Mostly rigid strips and modules |
| Life | 10,000+ hours | Long, depending on build and heat |
EL works best where light should be part of the surface, such as ambient lighting, accents, signage and design. For bright task lighting, LEDs are still the right tool. We’ll always tell you which fits.
